Reading Comprehension
Children with reading comprehension challenges have difficulty understanding written text. To accurately read and interpret the message of written text, a child must be able to decode the words they are reading, create mental imagery, and make personal connections to the information. If a child has difficulty in this area, they may have trouble recalling information from text, making predictions, making inferences, and putting the story in order.
