Handwriting

Handwriting is crucial as it is the foundation upon which reading is based. Children who struggle to form letters or produce legible written work typically have praxis (motor coordination) difficulties. In situations such as this, the child is unable to see the letter in their mind's eye and therefore will take longer to produce a printed letter and production is sloppy.

At North Naples Therapy & Enrichment Services, we utilize the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to teach the fundamentals of writing including prewriting strokes, letter formation, sizing, placement, and spacing.
